The Mexican Army is there to make sure the supply of drugs and illegals into the US is not impeded.

Could our gubmint have made a deal with Mehicko as they recently did with Canada in event of domestic uprising? Could martial law be far behind? Or are their guys going to take on our guys at the border?

Quite possibly. I saw a lot of collapsible stock G3's being carried by the Mexican Army troops that were assigned to the U.S. border. Here is the video...
