> We are turning from a culture of independence to a culture of dependence.

This is no accident. We are being led into a “culture of dependence”.

Its a lefty strategery. Give you lots of “free” stuff, then control you by threatening to take it away.

NOTHING is “free”, dinasour, except for those who depend on us, the TWP taxpayers.

"We don't need any government regulations to keep people from being stuck to a toilet for 2 years, either."

I generally oppose government getting involved in stuff that is outside of the Constitutional mandate, but in this case it would be interesting to say how they would phrase that law! 8)

The founding fathers will be turning over in their graves. This is not what America is supposed to be. This is not what I was taught growing up. I refuse to be assimilated!

Would BHO think that a  four- bedroom, 10,000-plus square foot home is greedy?

All Wright’s new house needs is either a moat or a steeple.

OK. But, have you taken your lawnmower driving test yet? Have you paid your NC lawnmower tax yet. Has your lawnmower passed the “Green” ecological test?

There more involved than just cutting grass!

One of the Founding Fathers said; “A government powerful enough to give you things is powerful enough to take them away!”

No, of course not.

(Off topic during the break--Looking at the house, I'm thinking an old joke. A Preacher takes the weekly collection, and tosses it into the air every Sunday. He picks up all the money that falls to the ground and pockets it. He makes a pretty tidy second income doing this. One day, a member of the Church sees him doing this. "It's OK," the Preacher says of the money he tosses up to heaven. "God will keep what he wants. I'll take the rest."

IF that happens.....

My future looks bleak: Will you visit me when I am in jail....help me to break out and go on the lam?

(P.S. Don't forget to bring the saw.)

With respect to the caller’s faith.

You don’t have a right to endanger your children.

This is know different than the case some time ago where a militant vegan was starving her children to death by feeding them only celery or something.

I hope the Rev. Wright’s retirement home is plastered all over John McCain’s political ads. Seems like the good Reverend did alright for himself despite the massive “discrimination” he encountered.

All it will take is to get the powerful NEA union to take up your plight. [Please don’t let them know you are a Conservative!]

The same Creator of Mary Baker Eddy created medical doctors. My thinking is you combine the two to maximize your health. That is what Tony did and he is healthier than most of us posting.

I quit that odious union years ago. When they tried to get me to rejoin, their sales talk was that if I ever got in trouble, they’d represent me.

My answer was 1)I don’t intend to “get in trouble”, and 2)If for any reason that I do, I will take care of it myself.
