Dogwoods are such beautiful trees. The blooms will make such a lovely arrangement for inside. I planted 2 little ones last year. About 4 feet tall now. Believe it or not I purchased them at Kmart. ;) They are very healthy. I think I'll have to wait 2 years for blooms though.

It takes awhile for them to get going. The one I have was here when I bought the housee..and much smaller then.A neighbor said it came from Arkansas..My neighbor’s white dogwood is blooming ahead of mine..It has grown so much.

I used to stop on a farm to market road when cutting over to a major freeway and cut wonderful bouquets of white dogwood growing wild and take them to my daughter...They widened the road and I no longer had that bounty to bring.
