I don’t HAVE to wear glasses. I have perfect vision in one eye, the other eye is pretty nearsighted though. I can pass my DMV vision test w/out wearing them. I wear them most of the time though because I work in front of a computer and read a lot. LOL!

Your eyesight is better than mine. When I see my clock radio in the morning, all I see is a red blur. And that is from two feet away!

That’s the disadvantage of attending for one of these independent mega-churches. They end up overpaying these guys. OTOH, pastors like Joel Osteen and Rick Warren make most of their $$ on book sales, not from the church itself.

Thanks for the info SWB. I will have to attend a Civil War reenactment someday. There is a Grand Army of the Republic museum in one of the Chicago suburbs (Aurora, I think). It was interesting to look at the historic artifacts of one of the Illinois regiments. I must say though I did get a little queasy when I saw the surgeon’s tools and his record book (quite a few amputations).
