Priests et al who have the collar as an easy job. (and perhaps the dating scene)

Yes ... real easy. You tell that to the family of this priest.

and his 3 subdeacons. Before opening fire on Fr. Raghhed Gani and his three deacons, the killers demanded their conversion to Islam. When they refused, the wife of one of the deacons was taken from the car they were traveling in, by one of the Muslims. Before her very eyes, they shot these 4 martyrs and then boobytrapped the car so no one could retrieve their bodies. It took nearly one day to get the authorities to dismantle the car bombs, during which time, the bodies of these martyrs were left to be viewed by passersby.

Or this one ...

Archbishop of Mosul, Paulos Faraj Rahho

The funeral took place in Mar Aada church in Kremlis. Christians from across Iraq attended the funeral of the Chaldean Catholic Archbishop of Mosul, Paulos Faraj Rahho.

Surrounded by armed guards, mourners wept and held flowers as the coffin was carried through the village of Kremlis, near Mosul in northern Iraq. The archbishop's body was found in a shallow grave, two weeks after he was kidnapped.

I don't know what religion you practice but you are obviously not a Christian. No Christian would slander martyrs to the faith!

I don't think he was slandering martyrs to the faith. He was mocking the kind of "christian" who would be embarrassed by any kind of evangelization to muslims, as referred to in the introduction to the article.

For my part, I understand Christians living in muslim countries who are hesitant to witness to muslims, knowing full well what the consequences might be. I've never had to face murder as a consequence of my faith, and I can only pray that should that day come I'll not do anything to embarrass myself before God. I admire the kind of people who dare to do it anyway. And I have to say I admire this pope.
