I think this is one of those situations that calls for mercy to be extended. The child should not be deprived of her father.

I guess we’ll be paying for cars and guards for all criminals to visit their ill relatives now.

Lovely.

He should have to cover every penny of the expense. It’s terrible for that child, but HE is responsible for her emotional pain. Nobody else.

One of those times when intelligence ruled the decision-making process. No one was hurt by the decision and any inconvenience was more than off-set by the warmth of mercy.

Was dad cooking his poison in their house? If so he’s probably responsible for her sad condition.

I agree with you on this one.

It would be punishment for the dying child to not allow her last wish to be respected.

Poor little thing loves her dad...even if he's a convicted felon.

Sad...sad story, indeed.

A friend lost his 12-year old daughter to a similar cancer almost one year ago. Being with his daughter during the last days before her death was priceless for both him and her.

Society cannot always be completely compassionate, but it should try its best to be so.

I agree. Our system should balance both justice AND mercy.

"The child should not be deprived of her father."

How many fathers were deprived of their daughters because their children were addicted by this meth dealer?

May he burn in Hell for all damnation before he ever sees his daughter. If I was in charge.

This makes at least the fourth time that he has seen his daughter and vice-versa ... three of those visits haven been in the last thirty days. There has been plenty of mercy and compassion shown to this family and they are still complaining. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child, but these folks should still be thankful that the warden has done as much as he has.
