The Louisiana Republican party is probably one of the worst state Republican parties I’ve ever seen. I don’t know how Bobby Jindahl made it, because it wasn’t any thanks to them. They allowed a joke like Aaron Broussard to get reelected by not running any serious candidates against him. And the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s election was another travesty. The guy that won won with 90% of the vote. The Republican running against him hardly put out any signs or did any serious advertising. He probably would have lost anyway, because the winner was the hand-picked successor of the deceased sheriff he was replacing, but to win by 90%? That’s a joke!
And unfortunately, St. Tammany, is becoming Jefferson Parish-North.
He was the chosen heir of Harry Lee (D) and Lee was the best elected official in the entire state.
