Case closed.
On a side note: An armed society is a polite society.
I guess I’ve never killed anyone before... but misdialing 911 six times? Wow.
Sometimes I feel like shooting at my gas station too.
Especially when they raise prices more than once a week or run out of Hot Tamales or Hershey’s with almonds.
Committing the assaults with trashcan lids that Americans won’t commit....
Probably couldn’t stop shaking long enough to push the little buttons.
Props for good shooting though.
Never bring a garbage can to a gunfight. Whatever kind of “bad day” the dude was having, he picked a helluva way to end it.
AND never bring a garbage can lid to a gun fight.
“Tett tried to call 911 six times, but misdialed in the heat of the moment.”
I’m not buying it.
Don’t bring a garbage can lid to a gun fight...holmes.
"It needs to be emphasized that from start to finish, this incident took less than four seconds," Forsyth said. "As such, Mr. Tett did not have time to consider what other options may have been available nor to see with any certainty the object with which Mr. Rodriguez was assaulting him."
Yeah, a head shot no less.
I want to see the video and watch him drop like a rock!
You’re obviously unaware of one of the documented side effects of adrenaline, in an assault you’ll have a large adrenaline dump into your bloodstream. This not only gives you a lot of strength, it makes fine motor skills, like hitting those little buttons really difficult. That’s one of the reasons 911 was made so short, because it’s tough to use your fingers when you’re scared. You tend to clench your fists from the adrenaline.
Am I wrong to laugh at that photo? Maybe it’s just the captions.
He never lost eye contact with his aggressor.
That's quick no matter who you are.
Good job dealing with a violent thug.
His bad day got much badder when he assaulted a legally armed citizen with a hand held impact weapon. The "Castle Doctrine" and "stand your ground" law that allows self defense with deadly force and prevents the attacker suing the intended victim if he is injured should be enacted and enforced in every state. That same law was recently adopted here in GA.
