It has everything to do with it. The article makes it seems as though guns are easily purchased everywhere.
And we are a border state.
They don't say the guns are coming from TX, AZ etc. just that they heading south. They're certainly being trade there, but where in the article does it say the guns are coming/being purchased in TX?
No they aren't. You just have to find one in the national registry (transferable) pay the egregiously inflated price, get fingerprinted and submit your form to the ATF along with a non-refundable $200 tax wait until the ATF approves your transfer and then you can have one.
American guns doing the jobs Mexican guns won’t do.
I may have to change my tagline.
Look at it this way. Our constitution doesn't give us any rights. It merely codifies and makes explicit protections for natural God given rights. If the rights are given by God, then they aren't limited to the USA and US citizens. Any person anywhere should have the same right to arms. The so-called smugglers are just helping oppressed Mexicans secure their rights from a tyrannical government.
Who knew they actually had cops in Mexico?
My M1 Carbine could be called an assault weapon, and you’re right, it just won’t do anything on it’s own. Maybe it’s old and can’t learn new tricks.
If they would build a wall all along the border about 20 feet high and patrol their border with armed guards day and night, they would not have this problem of millions of undocumented Americans streaming over the border looking for work - doing the jobs Mexicans won’t do.
Ping.
