McCain, who has struggled to raise campaign money
Heh. Not to worry - just tap into those untold millions of “inderpendent” voters.
I’m sure they will fill your coffers...

(I will vote for McCain if he resigns his Senate seat before this election.)
To: Abathar
If McCain has ANY sense at all he will choose Romney as his running mate. Romney has a very good economic background and would provide balance for the ticket that is missing right now.

At this point, McCain would be crazy to pick anyone else other than Romney as his VP...if he’s at all interested in keeping the conservatives somewhat pacified.
To: bill1952
He cannot spend it if he raises it. One of the byproducts of his Gang of 14 is that the FEC does not have a quorum to approve his request to drop matching funds. He’s down below $4 million as a limit between now and September.

All together now :
“VICE PRESIDENT ROMNEY”
Hey, McCain COULD do worse.
Like Vice President Kerry.
To: Abathar
And a lot of “I told you so” will be in the air as well.

I have never seen so little enthusiasm for a candidate in my life. Well, OK there was this guy named Bob Dole.

It sounds pretty much inevitable by this that Romney will be his VP choice. I previously said Romney was the last chance if I was going to vote Republican in the general election. (First Hunter, then Thompson, then Romney - I said, “NO McCain!”) I may end up holding my nose and going for it, though.

Romney as VEEP would ensure McCain loses.
There are only two choices.
Christoper Cox.
Or John Thune.

“THE” conservatives?
I’m not going to be pacified by another sellout by Romney. I bet I’m not alone.

Why on earth would be pick a pathetic fake like Romney to be his VP?
A desire to lose the South?

I voted for Dole. At least I thought he was a good, honorable man.
Not so with McCain.

I may end up holding my nose and going for it, though I am at that point myself. I don't like our choice but after listening to the democrat candidates more closely the last few weeks -- I can't not vote against them. A good running mate would make it easier though.

Not me.
Unless McCain has a conservative VP (which does not include the fraud Romney), I will actively support Obama, just to get the destruction of the USA over with quicker.

I agree completely, he really would be the best choice, but that will also give him a big leg up in four years also.
