I was a bleeding heart liberal and voted for Kerry. Now that I am recovering from my lapses in judgement, I wouldn't consider voting that way again.
I believe that maturity has led me to believe that all of us are responsible for our own well being. For the life of me I can't understand, now that is, why able bodied human beings want to be taken care of from the cradle to the grave.
Children want to assert themselves and do things for themselves, but at some point in time, this passes and a good percentage want government to step in and do for them.
They really sell themselves short! Oh yes, and I am a grateful Catholic!
