Yes, my friend. We do.

As resident of the commonwealth of Pa, I'm shocked that gun ownership is this low. My ancedotal evidence indicates that gun ownership is a lot higher per household here than 42%.

Not everyone admits everything to a survey.

>Philadelphia has experienced an epidemic of gun killings: 331 people were shot to death last year, 321 with handguns.<

Thank God they don’t know how effective rifles and shatguns are!

Peter Hamm, communications director for the Brady Campaign, noted approvingly that Clinton and Obama both have long records supporting tighter regulations on guns. "We would be happy with either of them," he said.

For those who say McCain isn't all that different from the Dem candidates...

So the crime rate in the urban Democrat controlled areas is astronomical, but she thinks she might want a gun in the rural low crime areas controlled by the Republicans?

As the Bullfrog would probably point out that D.C., Detroit and Baltimore are proof that you can trust inner city blacks with guns much more than rural whitey.

Damn those sneaky, evil guns, jumping up and shooting people with no warning!

Probably Glocks!

The problem with McCain is that he gets votes from the right only by default. I don't believe conservatives or libertarians like him. The middle is fairly clueless. On the left they can choose between Trotsky and Stalin.

"I am against illegal guns," she said,..."

"the right of the people to keep and bear arms , shall not be infringed.."

So what exactly IS an illegal gun?

Every questionaire that I have ever filled out, if it has a question:Do you own a firearm? I ALWAYS answer NO. It is none of their damn business if my wife or I own firearms.

You’re safe in most of Da ‘Burgh.

I try to avoid areas that I know are trouble, but the reason I carry, is some times the thugs travel.

Those obtained while observing unConstitutional registration and licensing schemes.

I don’t carry a gun…

… to kill people. I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don’t carry a gun to scare people. I carry a gun
because sometimes this world can be a scary place.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m paranoid. I carry a gun
because there are real threats in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil. I carry a gun
because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government. I carry a gun
because I understand the limitations of government.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry. I carry a gun so that I don’t have to
spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone. I carry a gun because I want to
die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m a cowboy. I carry a gun
because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.

I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man. I carry a gun
because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate. I carry a gun
because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don’t carry a gun because I love it. I carry a gun
because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

“Police Protection” is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves.

Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate
the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I’m too young to die and too old to take an ass kickin’.

I strongly suspect you are not alone.

PA is a blue state, but not in a traditional sense - especially in the West. There are still lots of pro-life, church-going, gun owners here who remain 'Rats because their great-great-granddaddy and/or the union told them Republicans are the rich people's party, and they have never bothered to think for themselves to test that assumption.

Philly, on the other hand, should be annexed to the socialist paradise known as New Jersey...

The problem with McCain is that he gets votes from the right only by default.

He is good on spending, gun rights, fair on abortion, decent on national security.

He ain't my first or second choice. But given the stakes with a Hillary or Obama presidency, he's still a far better choice.

You're right about Pa. It's a lot like Missouri in this sense. In Missouri, part of it is like a midwest state and part of it is like a southern state. In Pa, near Philly it is a typical northeastern elitist state, the rest of it is like a typical midwestern state. Unfortunately, there's a lot of people that live in that elitist Philadelphia section that makes this a blue state.

331 people were shot to death last year, 321 with handguns.

So the "huge" increase of murders with "assault weapons" the gun grabbers have been isn't really an increase at all. Barely 3% of murders using guns involved long arms. I'll bet that of those 10 maybe 1 was with an "assault weapon".
