This very uninformed opinion of the Dalai Lama, and by extension Buddhism and Tibetans, is a very good example of the externalized hatred you describe in the rest of your post.
Like Judaism, Christianity and African rhythms and expressionism, I personally like Buddhism. At a personal level, my family values are mostly Jewish, my lifestyle with my family can be described as Spanish Catholicism (I just love to drink alcohol everyday), I love to dance and express myself but I want to live based on peace, love and understanding. I like a balanced life, like living in the eye of the hurricane. But if either force dominates, then I don't like it. So I tend not to like the Dalai Lama and all "strongly enforced" religions.
But again, the objective of my initial statement was to draw attention to Black America and US politics and away from the Dalai Lama.
