Does this violate any privacy concerns? To whom could this information be shared? Under our current laws, could ANYTHING have prevented Cho from his massacre, short of 'god-like' powers?

Under our current laws, could ANYTHING have prevented Cho from his massacre, short of 'god-like' powers? Under any law, this may not have been able to be prevented. I'm as guilty as anyone else of saying, "I want to do whatever it takes to make sure XYZ never happens again." We can try. But in the end, people do what they do.

From what I recall about the story (and my memory may be faulty) there were people who probably should have picked up at that the guy was dangerous. I wonder if part of the problem is that it’s so difficult to get someone committed against their wills these days. I realize it’s a fine line, but often after these types of things you learn things that should have been giant red flags to someone, but nothing was done.
