Think there might be some animosity there?
Nobody searches after Midnight. :O)
Rotten question to ask her daughter, frankly.
I am not known for loving the Clintons. that being said, the question, when pointed at Bills daughter, was way out of line.
To ask Hillary or Bill or anyone else, I can understand. But to ask the daughter, not cool.
While I AGREE, I find it interesting that in SEVENTY university vists, NO ONE has asked that question.
And obviously, people in the audience have lived through the same thing.
That she reacted angrily, says tons, in itself...
She was actually quite calm.
Poor little 27 (or 25 or 26) year old Chelsea who’s been living with the Monica story for YEARS. Don’t tell me she’s shocked about it now. If she’s out on the campaign trail, she’s fair game for anything.
LMNO! Not their daughter? Good one!
I agree, Even though its a belief question, she’s not going to try and answer for her parents action or mood.
Of those 200 people, how many are cheating on their spouse? How many would support a law that allows people to commit perjury as long as the subject matter has to do with sex? How many think Juanita Broaddrick deserved to be raped by Bill Clinton? How many think Paula Jones is trailer trash and, thus, can be used as a sexual object by a pig who happens to be Governor of Arkansas? How many will continue supporting the Clintons no matter how many lies and crimes they commit? The answer to each of the above questions: 200.
It was not my intention to be funny, but I see where it can easily be construed that way. Ooops
The question presupposes Hillary had credibility.
Chelsea is an adult. OK, maybe her maturity and intelligence are lagging behind her age, but she's still an adult. And she's on the campaign trail trying to convince the American people to TRUST her mommy to be Commander in Chief. It's not rotten to ask Chelsea about her mom, who happens to be a compulsive liar. And it also wouldn't be rotten to ask Chelsea about her predator daddy. If Chelsea doesn't want to answer tough questions about her dirtbag parents, I suggest Chelsea get the hell off the campaign trail or stop entertaining questions from the audience.
Yeah, thought you had intended a Web Hubbell reference! :O)
She was calm and obviously had a canned answer ready, but it was a non sequitor because Hillary’s credibility (the object of the question) is the public’s business, contrary to Chelsea’s canned answer.
...of course, modern college Dems aren’t going to catch such a logical flub; it’s over their heads.
As I recall, I read that when Chelsea was little and Bill was governor, her parents hurled insults at her while they were at the dinner table. This was done to “condition” their daughter so she would be prepared to deal with the ugliness of her parents business. Sick.
Speaking of that; forgive my ignorance but on the new format, I’ve not been able to find the “search” box.
Can someone help me out here?
It’s a question for Hillary or Bill, not Chelsea.
