Someone refresh my memory - was D.B. Cooper his real name, or was that just a fake name he used during the hijacking?
I understood it was an alias.
The hijacker registered for the flight under the name “Dan Cooper.” A reporter’s mistake resulted in him becoming known as D.B. Cooper. A real Dan Cooper was investigated and cleared.
