Oh Reeeallly? “absolutely?”, “positively?” Famous last words that many have had to eat later throughout history after they uttered them.

Feel free to bookmark my post and ping me the day after the election if I'm wrong. You'll have a right to gloat, but I don't think you'll get the opportunity.

However, your entire premise is wrong. Operation Chaos has NOTHING to do with trying to get Hillary the nomination. How hard is it to get through some thick heads anyway?

If Rush isn't trying to hand Hillary the nomination then he's totally clueless.

Now, we understand that there are Republicans who are so afraid of Hillary they pretty much have to change their diapers whenever they see or hear her.

That pretty much describes what I've been hearing from Republicans who are terrified of Obama, notwithstanding the fact that he's been a paper tiger all along.

On the flip side, it’s the Independent votes that will decide the election and they are still solidly in the Obama camp even after the Reverend Wrong flap.

Doubtful. Not to mention that many blue collar white Democrats won't vote for Obama, but will vote for Hillary.

Just because you can’t stand the thought of a black being the POTUS doesn’t mean the rest of the nation is on board with you in that sentiment.

What brought that on? Desperation?

I’m to the right of Atila

What are you, a seminar Rush listener?

and I find Obama, Reverend Wrong flap aside, as very appealing and I can see how their are some light-weight Republicans even actually voting for him. Do not underestimate the Independent vote. In a McCain-Hillary match up the Indies break far more for McCain because he proven “Maverick” tendencies works in his favor. And Hillary has already lost at least 25% of the 50% that are now in the Obama camp. That plus the indies means that McCain wins landslide against Hillary in November - but I doubt she will be the nominee.

McCain has a good shot at beating Hillary, but he'd mop the floor up with Obama.

See, what you fail to see is that this is an exercise in inflicting the maximum amount of damage on the Democrat party. What is so hard to understand about that concept?

I think I understand it very well. McCain vs. Hillary would be close and Dems running for other offices wouldn't be impacted much by that race. Obama would lose badly enough to hurt 'Rats down the ticket. The other races are what's important to me because conservatives have already lost the presidency no matter who wins.

Your last paragraph pretty well sums up my thinking about the Rush Operation Chaos likely outcome. I have posted that OBama would self implode and that was before the Rev Wright exposure. Hillary voters have never cared much about Clinton negatives and they sure aren’t going to get picky now. They know exactly what they are getting and that is what they want. After all, it was their choice to run two socialists for President. Why Rush boosters think this chaos stuff is brilliant when it was/is unnecessary is beyond me. As for McCain, the only other shoe to drop is his VP choice. If he choses a strong running mate it will not be as hard to vote for him. Being the obstinate person he is, I am not expecting much.
