What about the claim that she went to a Marine recruiting office in AK and tried to join the Marines? But the male recruiter said mean and insulting things to her (about her age [27, she claims]; her gender; her thick, bookish looking glasses) and ended by saying "you couldn't make it in the Marines but maybe the Army will take you".
