Obama acknowledges, with no small irony, that he benefits from his race.
If he were white, he once bluntly noted, he would simply be one of nine freshmen senators, almost certainly without a multimillion-dollar book deal and a shred of celebrity. Or would he have been elected at all?

irony ping!
Make Obami apologize.
Too good to be true.
Keep talking 0’bambi.
What a maroon. Didn’t see anything between quotation marks though. Maybe there’s a tape or a transcript.
“If he were white,...”
Barack H. Obama is 1/2 white.
Geraldine spoke the truth. I suspect that Obama and his wife, both got affirmative action to get into universities.
The press has gone soft on Obama, soley because he is black.
Obama does go to a Crack-Pot church, a place where God is not honored.
Oh man- this is good too...
~snip~
“We have a certain script in our politics, and one of the scripts for black politicians is that for them to be authentically black they have to somehow offend white people,” Obama said in an interview. “And then if he puts a multiracial coalition together, he must somehow be compromising the efforts of the African-American community.

OK, I admit to scanning over some of this four-page article, looking for quotes, but where does Obama “say exactly what Ferraro said” and “bluntly note that he would simply be one of nine freshmen senators, almost certainly without a multimillion-dollar book deal and a shred of celebrity”?
Am I the only one who doesn’t see much in this article? I’d love to have someone point it out to me because I’d love the irony, but I’m really not seeing the “money quote” here.

He can use the “N” word, too, while she cannot.
Now, THAT’s funny.
Yeah, I read that page, but am still not seeing much to go on. Nothing that you take to a liberal and say “a-ha!” (not that they would pay any mind to it anyway, but still...)
He talks about not wanting to “follow the script” that says that to be authentically black you must offend white people. Or that says that putting together a multicultural coalition means compromising African-American efforts.
The article then mentions his crossover appeal with whites.
Then the next paragraph says that “once bluntly noted” that he benefits from his race.
OK, when was this, then? What did he say, exactly?
The article dangles this but does not elaborate at all. And none of his quotes that are actually IN the article are any kind blunt admission, as far as I can see.
I want to see the “money quote,” and I want a date and a place on it, too.
Barack H. Obama is 1/2 white.
Yeah, but Obama has the old view of race, and buys into the octaroon crap that plantationists loved so much.
QUOTE FERRARO
“If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is.

Days of uproar brought on by the Obama Camp
QUOTE OBAMA (2005)
If he were white, he once bluntly noted, he would simply be one of nine freshmen senators, almost certainly without a multimillion-dollar book deal and a shred of celebrity.

If you can’t see the similarities and don’t trust the journalist to report correctly. OK.
I see parallel lines; and in 2008 it caused an uproar from his team. Why I wonder?
Like the N word, it is different when a white person says it, because of the magical powers God gave white folks.
