Gee. The lineup of WCHB seems rather skewed to blacks. One white, no asians, no hispanics, no esquimaux. Do they claim to be an equal-opportunity employer?

This ought to be a busy thread tomorrow. The rumors are hot and heavy as to how many charges may be filled.

Hard to figure out what’s up. Text messages, cover-up, threatening a whistle-blower? sexual misconduct?

Well, if this were truly an objective investigation the charges would be, at the minimum, perjury, obstruction of justice, Federal Civil Rights violations and abuse of process and conspiracy to defraud the City. To boot, several attorneys would be similarly charged and disciplined by the bar for their role in extortion, suborning perjury and conspiracy.
Of course, this is Detroit and the County Attorney is an elective position so I suspect the "New Orleans" clause will be invoked. No charges will be brought and all involved will be re-elected by large margins and the trouble makers who brought all of this unpleasantness out in the open will be hounded until the quit, or worse.

Mayor Kilpatrick is probably as popular in outstate Michigan as Jennifer Granholm.

The Free Press is supposed to have something on additional text messages at 10:45PM EST:
“Come back to freep.com at 10:45 tonight for a report on more text messages exchanged by city employees. Then tune in to our broadcast partner, WDIV Local 4, at 11 p.m., when Free Press reporter Ben Schmitt will talk about the report.”

Here it is, looks like the current police chief, Beatty and her minions were involved in the police chiefs Brown's firing in 2003I read it -- Worthy shouldn't have any choice about filing a LOT of criminal charges but that remains to be seen. The corruption all the way up the line is just staggering but hardly surprising.
