Change! That is what the Democrats promised when they took over Congress in 2006.
Sure enough they were right and that is what we got. Were they the cause or the effect of getting elected?
Here are some of the outcomes of them being in control.

I got this same thing in an email last week with no accreditation. I didn't hesitate a bit to send it on and recommend that if you haven't done it yet pass it to everyone you know.
We heard every bad news report connected to Republicans when they ran things, but nothing at all connected with Democrats.

- Congressional pay increase.

Well, but they’ve put in a lot of time delaying the military budget, blocking eavesdropping against terrorists abroad, and holding hearings against the evil Republicans.
Also they’ve blocked all appointments to the FEC, the Federal Reserve Board, and the judiciary. The FEC cannot act at all (convenient in an election year), and the Fed is within a vote or two of shutting down in the midst of the worst economic crisis in a hundred years.

I wrote this down on election day 2006
Election day 2006 stats:
No terrorist attack since 9/11/06-5 years 2 months
Gasoline prices national average 2.08
Unemployment 4.4 historically very low
Dow Jones all time high 12,196.32
Annual inflation rate 2.06 annual
So you can add inflation is up and Dow Jones is down as well.

Emboldening terrorists and giving them hope we would leave Iraq early. Thus changing the job our troops have to do to a harder one with more casualties.
