Obama is done. And I’d be willing to bet so is Hillary. I wonder how the party is going to boot these two and for whom? There is very little doubt in my mind that that is EXACTLY what will happen in the fullness of time.

They entire Dem party backs one or the other. I think you are thinking of a Dem party of years gone by.

Hate to harp on this—but Kerry jumped on Obama’s wagon VERY early. I half-wonder if he’s not behind some of the Dems’ ills. (And I have to admit, I’d love to see a McCain-Kerry election!)

I hope you’re not implying Al Gore. He’s the only possible candidate who frightens me more than Obama. Talk about messianic fraud!

As a candidate for election in November, Obama clearly is done. Ain't gonna happen.

But as a candidate for nomination in Denver, he's still the frontrunner. it's not like Obama's supporters at the convention will be a bunch of middle-class white Republicans . . .

I don't see how neither Barack nor Hillary gets nominated, far more likely both will be. And if McCain were to play his cards right and nominates a black conservative, I see no likelihood at all that Obama isn't on the ticket constituting a sitting duck of a target for the Republican VP candidate.

I would agree with you except that John McCain is waiting in the wings. The man who said he will run a clean campaign. The ads against Obama and Hillary have written themselves but it appears McCain may not use them.
