This went far beyond "thought". The jerk was acting as a self-appointed "I Vant to See Your Papers" Police.

The bottom line is that these men were U.S. citizens and no self-apponited vigilante with a "Rhode Islanders for Whatever Law Enforcement" membership card has a right to demand that you present I.D. to him.

Are you going to allow some bozo to make a "citizen's arrest" on you because you refuse to show him your Social Security card when he demands that you do so?
