Pennsylvania Voters Switching to Dems in Droves, Despite Online Glitch
Pittsburg Post Gazette ^ | 3/21/08 | Tom Barnes

HARRISBURG -- The Rendell administration is scurrying to fix a glitch in an online voter registration form, a flaw that could permit the unauthorized disclosure of some people's driver's license numbers and the last four digits of their Social Security numbers.

Mrs. Amoros said thousands of people have been signing up to vote in recent weeks -- either first-time voters or those who want to switch their registration to Democrat so they can take part in the April 22 political showdown between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

"It's just been incredible, the number of people changing to Democrat," said Mrs. Amoros.

The nine counties that showed the largest percentage increases in Democrats over the past six months were mainly in two areas of the state, the Philadelphia suburbs and the central region of the state, an area known historically for being conservative and having many more Republicans than Democrats.

Statewide, there are now 3,994,605 Democrats, or 111,000 more than last November's total of 3,883,378.

That’s a little less than 3% increase statewide..... Some articles have indicated the white male vote will be the key in PA this primary.

actually it is already a concept. It is called “Tactical Voting”

This is where you use your voter assets to the best effect.

No way, she won’t touch him with a ten foot pole. It is going to be a moderate white male.

I would vote for Hillary. Hillary needs every vote to take this to the convention and get a fight. Ideally, Hillary wins the popular vote and Obama has more delegates. Then the Democrats can fight like dogs on who the winner should be.

If Hillary loses Pennsylvania, it is over and Obama wins, but it is still too early yet. Give it a few more months. Remember, if this race ends on 23 April, then Obama will get a free ride until November as McCain has already claimed he will not play look into people negativities, but Hillary will.

McCain won't have to. If Obama gets the nomination, HRC will sabotage the campaign so that she gets another go in 2012. If HRC loses Penn., it ain't over anyway. She will always see herself as one piece of Obama dirt away from the nomination.

I did. But watching Obama dig himself deeper with his "white people can't help it, they were born racist" speech absolutely won me over to flop ears, even though I missed a lot of what he said because I was laughing so hard.

I think even a total loser like McCain couldn't work hard enough to hand the election to a guy who can't stop digging when he's in a hole. If McCain won't fight back, at least the 527s will.

I want Osama Obama as the Democrat nominee.

The word “glitch” is used when officials mess up a system that they designed and implemented. In using the word, they hope to confuse a non-technical public into thinking that there was some mysterious error committed by those big complicated computers.
In reality, it’s either a design flaw or a human error in the programming.

People should vote for Hillary.

She won't catch Obama in delegates. She won't catch him in the popular vote. Well, to catch him in delegates, she needs to get 58% here on out. Not going to happen. To get the popular vote, she needs to net 700K votes, and there are apparently 6 million still out. So she would need 3.35 million to Barack's 2.65 million. That's 56%. Still quite a hurdle really. If MI and FL get to revote, then she needs 53% of the total.

So the only way Hillary gets the nomination is if she "steals" it from Obama. And if she does that, the blacks and other Obama supporters will be furious. If Hillary gets the nomination this way, there's no way she wins the general.

“People should vote for Hillary.”

Republicans should vote in the Dem primary period. The more Republicans that vote, the more the results seem illegitimate.

That way, Hillary can make an argument that “the superdelegates were created to prevent GOP meddling in our elections” when she tries to steal it. It will be COMPLETE chaos when executed properly.

There are alot of crucial state house and senate primaries being fought out in the Republican Party. In many cases conservatives are either challenging RINO incumbents or vice versa. This is no time for conservatives to be playing games by switching registration. The future control of our state legislature is in the balance.
