Woman pleads guilty to false rape report

A 22-year-old former Woodinville woman pleaded guilty
Tuesday to making a false rape accusation
against a local college professor last June.
King County District Court Judge Peter Nault called the
case one of the "saddest" he'd ever seen in court and one
that is likely to have long-term impact on future
investigations.
"That we hurry to castigate a person who turns out to be
entirely innocent ... I don't know how it could be worse,"
said Nault, saying the incident will make it
harder for real sexual victims to bring their cases
forward.

If he's a teacher or professor, his reputation has been ruined. If she has no money, I'd be willing to bet that the judge would go along with ordering her to do things like wearing big signs saying "I wrongly accused a professor of rape" or "I lied about being raped." Something to embarrass the hell out of her, and to help him recover his reputation.

If you accuse someone of a crime, and that person is found innocent, you serve the exact same sentence that the other person would have.
I rather like that system.
On July 25, Clifton told detectives she had forged a judge's signature and made up a legal document on her computer.

Yea, verifying that the emails weren't tampered with, and grilling her just a bit to make sure her story held up, would have been such a hassle. Just charge the guy and be done with it.
I don’t give a danged if her brother, Daddy, dog or cat raped her 20 years ago. That doesn’t excuse her deliberate, premeditated plan to ruin an innocent person’s life.
This judge is worse than she is!!! Ruin a person’s life and receive no jail time, no fine!!!Grrr.

When are people going to stop blaming previous events in their lives for their actions? The beauty of this country is the fact that people have choices. She disgusts me.

In the Muslim world her father would stone her since she is no longer pure and is a disgrace to the family. More than likely it was just her fantasy to be raped by him. She should be treated as a sex offender.

Why dont they just make an example out of HER? Don’t file false rape reports, ro go to jail, and face civil suit damages.
