[Corpus Christi, Texas]Chase of illegal immigrants ends in massive brushfire.

A wild chase involving illegal immigrants ends in a massive fire and over a dozen suspected aliens scattering from the scene. The blaze sparked up right off Saratoga near Greenwood.

The chase actually began near Farm Road 43 and State Highway 286 around seven o'clock Wednesday night. The pick up ran a stop sign which triggered the chase. Fifteen People in all were crammed into the pick up truck.

The chase eventually ended in a field near Greenwood when the truck ignited a massive brush fire. Three people were apprehended including the driver and a fourteen year old boy. The rest still remain on the loose. As for the fire, crews were able to knock it down

From the headline I thought for a moment the authorities were starting to flush them out by setting the fields on fire.

Not like they haven't had enough trouble with wildfires in S. Texas. (Chaparral WMA.)

Most likely the fire was started by the vehicle’s catalytic converter. I wonder how many fires have been started in California from vehicle catalytic converters?

We had record amounts of rain here in Texas last summer, followed by several dry months, creating unusual amounts of grass and shrub. It's very easy to start a fire by any means.

Third time he's actually been "caught" and hasn't had severe enough punishment to stop. Not that that will change in the next administration.
