The problem is that you don't attend Klan meetings for 20 years and then get away with denouncing the racist comments of the Grand Klugal.
The interesting thing is that Barack was an atheist until he decided to go into politics and then he became a member of a church which mixed into politics and could further his political career.
If he was an atheist before, and kept attending for 20 years despite disagreeing with what was being said, perhaps he's just a good old fashioned opportunist.

A abortionist, welfare statist and an identity politician that will rule like a vicious tyrant. Correction: An abortionist, welfare statist and an identity politician that will rule like a vicious tyrant, with a smile, while running on a beach with no shirt on... :) - sarc

Was Christ Crucified ever preached in Rev. Bullfrog’s Church?

Sorry. But we don’t need lessons on race from an unrepentant twenty-year member of a racist institution. Nor need we heed musings on mutual understanding from a man who exposes his innocent children to the bigotry and hatred of Rev Wright’s church.

Rev. Wright's church had thousands of members. Obama needed these votes to begin his political career. Obama is a politician. As such, it wouldn't matter if they were Satan worshipers as long as he could get their vote.
