Just curious, but does the fish and wildlife service compensate ranchers for animals lost to wolves? If so then the ranchers have nothing to complain about. If not, then the FWS and the greenies got nothing to complain about if ranchers kill wolves.
The ranchers are supposed to be compensated if there is a licensed wildlife officer present before and during the wolf attacks.
This does not happen.
Wolf packs often kill at night without a USFWS official watching...thus lots of blood, paw prints, slashing marks...do not count after the attack.
Second, wolf packs chase pregant cows who then mis-carry their calves ...
Third, sheep and cows do not eat / put on weight when they are under stress from predators which costs the family ranchers money.
Most family ranchers have bank loans, taxes, feed and vet bills...
