Surprised NRP, which is one of the high churches of Global Warming would even broadcast this stuff.

Expect some editor there to get fired.

That could mean global warming has taken a breather. Or it could mean scientists aren't quite understanding what their robots are telling them.

Weak analysis. This leaves out the possibilities:

1. That the robots are making accurate measurements

2. The robots are not in the right position to take accurate measurements

3. The intended measurements are the wrong ones

4. The accurate measurements are being ignored or their credibility denied

...and so on

Also the assumption that global warming has taken a breather assumes that there is, in fact, global warming in the oceans (a preconceived bias indicated by this story), or that it is stalled, an opinion with no merit because there is no indication of water warming to stall.

NPR is doing their usual thorough analysis.
