If you took out the Is As and Ms(used in most Amish names) the list would fit on a piece of notebook paper Most of the Amish around my neck of the woods have nice plain names like Gruber, Burkholder, Hostetler and Yoder. Maybe the list has some Kraut names left over from WWII?

Maybe the list has some Kraut names left over from WWII? WWI more likely. Probably a few Japanese names left on their for good measure.
Although to be fair the names "Bader" and "Meinhoff" are probably there.
