DR. GAIL ANDERSON HOLNESS, GREATER WASHINGTON COUNCIL OF CHURCHES: He [Wright] is not preaching hate theology. And that should be a clear statement. It's not hate theology. It is a liberation theology. When Jesus was around, they didn't respect Jesus. They were angry with him. When he spoke the beatitudes on the mountain. They were angry with Martin Luther King when he was around, and they didn't respect him. And now he's a great hero. . .Rev Wright is now Jesus.
Father, forgive them for they not what they do.

Ironically, in my judgment, the last person who could give a speech about race that was this good was Bill Clinton, who -- you know, who also understood it well and had an enormous insights into these issues. . . What's truly ironic is that the eight years of Bill Clinton did not do one single solitary thing to lessen the achievement gap between blacks and whites, any more than the previous 30 years of the liberal-led "War on Poverty" did. As always, with libs--intentions are far more important than accomplishments.

When Jesus was around, they didn't respect Jesus. They were angry with him. No, they only Crucified Him. This is as insane as the Al Sharpton comment that the Holy Family was homeless.

My high-school son told me that the local cable company installed two TV’s in the school, which is tuned to CNN all day, for the kids viewing pleasure. Apparently, it was part of a cable contract negotiated by the town. Wonderful, eh?

Just CNN? I’m also wondering why Fox News didn’t broadcast one of Bush’s speeches yesterday. I saw it on CNN, but when I flipped over to Fox, they were in commercials. Geez can’t watch any newschannels anymore.

If Obama’s paid staff was as passionate an advocate for him as CNN’s Roland Martin, then Obama would have sewed up the nomination by now. Hillary obviously has her advocates in the media, but NO ONE has taken up for Obama and Wright with the fierceness of Martin. Martin’s partisanship is wearing out Lou Dobbs. Dobbs has taken as strong a position against Wright as anyone on CNN can dare take. His poll question last night was a definite slam to the Obama-Wright crowd. It asked would you continue to attend a church where the pastor cursed this nation. A question he knew was red meat for his audience or most audiences save maybe the MoveOn.org viewers owned by Olberdorque and Chwissy Mathews.

I saw a CNN piece yesterday analyzing the speech where they pointed out that Obama had now admitted seeing the offensive sermons after denying it and asking if people would interpret this as Obama being a “closet race divider.”
That piece that I saw was pretty well balanced actually because they also talked about what a good speaker he was.

They were angry with him. When he spoke the beatitudes on the mountain. Because, as we know, if Jesus were around today he would be blaming America for creating the AIDS virus.

Who is surprised by this? Big Lib media exists for NOT!!! asking the tough questions. The last thing they want to do is stir up this pile of manure any more than they have to. Obama just sprayed some glossy paint on the pile, and Big Media says isn't that wonderful. No, it just looks shinier, but it smells just as bad as it did before.
What Obama said was that deep down he is not for post-racial policies. In fact he is ardently for them. His misdirection which easily fooled a gullible lib media should not fool an honest observer. Obama doesn't want to get past race, he wants to reinforce it.

Maybe the former Clinton News Network hid so much truth about the Clintons, they know deep down she'd be badder than Obama, and that must be awfully bad.
