“Hey Obama, way to throw your grandparents under the bus.”

I mentioned this on another thread, but I think it is like a Freudian slip, I think that he secretly hates he is part white.
He is bitter but his wife seems more bitter.

“The fact that so many people are surprised to hear that anger in some of Reverend Wright’s sermons simply reminds us of the old truism that the most segregated hour in American life occurs on Sunday morning.”

Ah, Senator, like yesterday I heard you claim YOU were surprised by the anger in Wright’s sermons.

our original sin of slavery

Well, I'll give him that. If slavery had not occurred, we'd have no black civil rights victimhood industry today. We've reaped what we sowed. Should have left them all in Africa.

the inferior education they provided, then and now, helps explain the pervasive achievement gap between today's black and white students . . .

Obama needs to explain how some of the greatest black minds in the history of this nation overcame vastly greater hardships. Booker T. Washington founded Tuskegee Institute, which has educated several generations. George Washington Carver discovered scores of uses for the peanut which pulled generations of southern farmers out of the poverty cycle. Garrett A. Morgan invented the gas mask which saved countless lives during World War I. Thomas Sowell is arguably the most brilliant economist alive today. He educated Clarence Thomas, one of the brightest minds on today's supreme court.

Not one of these five is held out as a role model for young blacks today. Not one was given a pass because of affirmative action or quotas. Not one was a protest leader. And not one of this group blamed "whitey" for the adverse circumstances in which they were educated.

Most likely all five on this list (certainly the two still living) would propose a solution for inferior black schools which Obama would quickly dismiss-- vouchers and free market solutions rather than continuing to pump more and more tax money into the NEA sinkhole.

I think it succeeded in its purpose and for its intended audience. But what’s missing is something to address, specifically, the ignorance reflected in Wright’s comments about AIDS being developed as a genocide against colored people. That’s simply not true. There is no excuse for preaching anything based on that palpably false premise.

What a nasty little man. He threw his own grandma under the bus.

The best punishment for that is what his current wife is.

In my limited experience with women, one's that are grievance based like his spouse, carry that grievance into every aspect of their lives.

What's that old Country and Western song?, "It's hard to kiss the lips..."

This is a nice speech on race relations,

Now when is he going to address his own reasons for picking and staying at a Church that preached God D*** America when it should have been baptising and making disciples for Jesus.

Then deciding to run for the highest office of that country with that same man assigned to his steering and direction commitee.

Then saying he would reject Farrahkan but under the table giving him a wink and a nod.

Now that’s audacity.

The vast majority of that speech sounds just like something Bill Clinton would deliver... platitudes and BS shaped into flowers to fool the masses of stupid and uneducated.

Only thing missing (besides the truth) is a statement like:

So - for all of you who scratched, clawed, and worked your way into a piece of the American Dream, buy stock in Vaseline, you are going to need it...

I nominate your post as the best one on the thread (so far)... So much truth that is overlooked today.

Thank you for the reminder.

First draft of Obama’s speech....

I have a Dream….

I have a dream, that one day a black man can run for president of the United States and be elected on a platform of strict platitudes.

I have a dream, that a black candidate for president can spend twenty years attending an Afro-centric church, listening to racist sermons on Sunday, and claim to want to bring America together on Monday.

I have a dream, that one day a black candidate can hold his hands over his crotch during the National Anthem, or refuse to wear and American flag lapel pin, and still be called a patriot by a fawning media.

I have a dream, that one day political correctness will be so pervasive that a black candidate for the presidency can be in the race an entire year before the media asks him a single tough question.

I have a dream, that one day I will sit in the Oval Office in spite of my lack of qualifications, just because I’m an eloquent speaker that can parse words with the best—shout out to Bill!

I have a dream, that one day I will be able to buy a mansion I cannot afford in exchange for political favors and not be indicted along with the guy I did the deal with.

I have a dream, that no matter what I say or do, the mainstream media will be so in love with the idea of a black liberal president they will provide me with political cover at every turn.

I have a dream, that one day my critics will be so afraid of being labeled “racists” they will all just shut up and go away.
