Folks at Yarisworld.com are reporting mpg ratings of 40-45.
$11,350 base price...cheapest, except for smartcar & uses 87 octane.
A straight gas motor, not hybrid.
Does not feel like a small car, handles well and has lots of room.
They seem to be flying off the lots.
Every dealership we’ve been to kept the cars way in the very back of the back lot. Not one had one up front.
Set to pick up mine on Thursday...fingers crossed.
14k out the door, with power windows, locks & mirrors, rear defrog, frog lamps, keyless entry.
Beats the 15mpg that my quadcab hemi is getting and should be excellent as a commuter car.
I’m averaging 36.5 mpg with the Yaris tank after tank. 75% highway 25% city. Only one trip of any length and managed 42.5 mpg. I don’t do any extreme measures to boost mileage. I do drive pretty moderately compared to most. Coast to stop signs and exits sometimes.
Never had such a problem with a clutch before in my life. RPM must be above 1500 to not stall it out. I know how to drive a clutch vehicle. Yaris makes you pay close attention.
My only other complaint is the wind. High winds make me want to leave the Yaris at home and drive my heavier vehicle.
Very well mannered car that doesn’t feel like a cheap tin can.
I didn’t buy a Prius as I had other things to spend the additional $8,000 it would have cost.
I picked a Yaris out of the grille of my F-150 just the other day.
