I’ve heard so much about the incredible, mind-boggling, speaking ability of B. Hussein Obama, that I finally get to hear it for myself.

What better time to demonstrate what a master of the spoken word he is.

I’m prepared to hear another Churchill, Reagan, Heston....

This had better be outstanding!

I thought it was a terrific speech. He didn't launder his pastor's opinions. He managed to articulate the black experience in the United States without condemnation or despair.

He talked about his Christian faith more than most politicians. I hope America was listening.

Even if he doesn't get the nominiation (I think he will) and even if he loses the Presidency (I think he will) that was a brilliant, truthful, agonizing yet uplifting and ultimately unifying speech in a country that still labors under the groaning weight of racism.

Yet he was careful to repeat over and over that nowhere on earth is the hope of peace and prosperity more attainable than in these United States.

"The past isn't even past."

Amen.
