I’m not silly enough to assume that the parties to a marriage have never slept with anybody else during the marriage, and neither are most New Yorkers.

Well, my post had to do with not disclosing this information until after being sworn in, and not having the people of NY make their own decision as to his fitness for office in an election.

I guess I am silly enough to think the parties in a marriage don't party with others if they want to stay happily married. It's actually a deal breaker for some people. But, that's just my opinion.

State law does not have any provision for an election in the event of the resignation of the governor. Announcing that you’ve slept with someone other than your wife while married doesn’t change state law.
