One has to wonder when McQueeg will stop giving us new reasons not to vote for him under any circumstances.

We already have an overflow of such reasons.

...because they were for against open borders...

Should say "because they were against open borders."

Yikes, I'm starting to sound like McCain: "I'm a proud conservative liberal Republican."

With all due respect, Senator McCain ... take some advice from someone who is trying to get used to the idea of voting for you:

I know it's difficult for you, but please just be quiet about this. We are all well aware that you and your pro-amnesty Beltway buddies are morally superior and we are poor, benighted bigots, so there is no need to keep rubbing it in our faces.

Please just let us unenlightened simpletons who care about law and order, a secure border, and traditional American culture wallow peacefully in our ignorance.

Believe me, it will make coloring that little dot next to your name in November ever so much easier.

Thanks.

Y’know, McCain would do himself a favor by simply keeping his mouth shut on this issue, while the Democrats self-destruct.

In northern states they do not see the problems with illegals like we do in the border states such as Texas.

I have friends and family in Iowa and Wisconsin and they most heartily disagree with your assessment. In their own words, they have an even bigger problem with illegal aliens horning in on their areas under the guise of "migrant labor."

Note that, despite McCains's promise at CPAC

And while I and other Republican supporters of the bill were genuine in our intention to restore control of our borders, we failed, for various and understandable reasons, to convince Americans that we were. I accept that, and have pledged that it would be among my highest priorities to secure our borders first, and only after we achieved widespread consensus that our borders are secure, would we address other aspects of the problem in a way that defends the rule of law and does not encourage another wave of illegal immigration.

he skipped town when he could have voted for the Chambliss amendment, which included a "zero tolerance" policy for illegal entry, with 2 years in prison for the 2nd offence. Voting YES would have been a good first step toward "reaching out" to conservatives, but IMO McCain will not keep his promise in any meaningful way. If he did keep his promise, Mexico would feel betrayed that he did not put their interests above the USA.

John, you and your globalist buddies actively participated in making sure that any GOP person opposed to open borders lost in 2006.

McCain, you stink, you are willing to lie and sell out your own for gain.

Gawd, how you and your lyin’ buddies disgust me. If you win in 2008, you will do it because the Dems hate Hillary and Obama, you won’t do it by my vote.

Have no fear, we'll get the blame from the very people who are actively supporting Hillary in hopes of scaring us into voting for McCain.

What a truly wonderful choice of candidates America has been given for its next President. A lying, scheming former First Lady who ought to be in federal prison along with her impeached accused rapist husband, a fast talking "hate America" slickster who has refused to wear an American flag pin as do other Senators, and a worn out RINO who co-authored restrictions on free speech, has done everything possible to support amnesty and favorable treatment of illegal aliens, and who won't think twice about supporting measures which will dilute American sovereignty in favor of NWO internationalism (criminal courts and Law of the Sea Treaty).

The election of any one of these traitors ought to be sufficient to once again "water the tree of liberty".

McCains just making it clear that he is prepared to do battle with his own party as well as the rest of us conservatives over his favorite constituency of illegal aliens. Mushy RINOs and liberals just gotta luv this guy.

What’s sad is the Dems blowups are making this so easy that almost any Pub could win. I think even Bob Dole and his weak campaigning could win. But McCain seems like he’s trying to throw away a gift the Dems are trying to hand him by constantly coming after his own.

I've been thinking the same thing...McCain might as well put a big L on his forehead because he is acting like a loser. He's going out of his way to suck up to the MSM elite by lashing out at conservatives. I think his whole reason for running is for shallow ego gratification. He wants accolades from the MSM for being "the maverick who gave the finger to those awful conservatives". What a tool.

I can't help but wonder how much more fun it would be to watch the Democrat Party Implosion if there was a reasonably conservative candidate running for the Republican Party...it's a buzz kill seeing a malicious RINO like McCain take office after a Democrat primary disaster.

So if some congresscritters lose their seats because of an anti-war movement in their districts, then according to McCain, the GOP should abandon Iraq, Afghanistan, etc?

Good point.
