Don’t believe the polls for a second. McCain is not thought well of in Ohio.

I agree-—I’m here in Dayton. But his opponents each have huge disadvantages, and neither gains what the other loses. Hillary is generally hated by, I think, a majority of Ohioans, but if she steals the nomination from Obama, I KNOW that some percentage of blacks will sit out in anger. On the other hand, Obama will pull close to 100% of the black vote, but alienates the “hillbillies” who, no matter what they tell pollsters, are not ready to vote for a black president.

Yup, I hear that Republicans in general aren't thought well of these days in OH. But he doesn't have to be thought well of, he just has to be seen as preferable to the socialist RATS.

Believe it or not, for most of the to-the-right-of-the-far-Left Americans, the fact that Obama's mentor of 20 years hates and damns America is far more important in deciding whether Obama should be made Commander-in-Chief than than the fact that McCain may have pissed them off about this or that other issue.

Your own mileage may vary.

He's not thought well of here in Arizona either, but he keeps winning elections.

I agree. However the real question is do Ohioans think more highly of him than of Obama or Hillary.

I suspect that it will be close.
