Doesn’t matter how she got where. It matters that she didn’t let the school know where she was. All she had to do was call the school or have a parent call and explain what was going on. Not hard to do. Lots of people do it every day.
That’s probably what she was planning to do as soon as she got home, only her plan got interrupted by a reckless bus driver who fell out of her seat while taking a turn with a busload of little kids. We don’t know that she had a cell phone.
See post 41. We shouldn’t criticize kids for thinking for themselves, instead of relying on the brain-dead school staff to make all decisions for them. Sounds like her mother approves of her choices, and that’s what matters when we’re talking about a 15 year old.
