Your translation demonstrates that there were definitely “indirect” ties.

No doubt about it. At least Saddam regime knew about that Al Qaeda was setting up terrorist cells in Iraq.

Norway is having a hard time getting rid of Krekar. They don't want to send him back to Iraq due to their liberal policies where he would face terrorism charges (death penalty)

Yet simultaneously they don't feel safe having him in Norway due to their own terrorism concerns.

http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/02/19/europe/EU-GEN-Norway-Terror-Assessment.php

Islamic extremists pose rising challenge to Norway, police intelligence agency says

“Iraqi Kurd Mullah Krekar, who founded the al-Qaida-linked extremist group Ansar al-Islam, is a refugee in Norway, but was declared a threat to national security in 2005 and ordered deported. He has not yet been expelled.”

http://www.islam-watch.org/AdrianMorgan/How-Norway-Mad-Mullah-Plays-the-System.htm

How Norway's Mad Mullah Plays the System

“In May 2004, Norway's then prime minister Kjell Magne Bondevik said in parliament: “Mullah Krekar is expelled from Norway and so we want to deport him. We begin the process now because there are plans to install an Iraqi government. But we cannot send a man back to a country where he risks a death sentence or other inhuman treatment.”

Chris

Thank you for posting this. I think we should send the McCain campaign the translation and the original Arabic document which I just e-mailed you. You may also want to add that we have other captured Iraqi documents that talks about Saddam regime training Foreign Arab terrorists (non Iraqi) since the year 1999 and that in the months of March and April 2003 they trained them to conduct terrorist attacks against US troops and Saddam issued a decree stating that the foreign Arab terrorist shall be treated as if they are special Iraqi forces.

One thing that should be noted is that the new Pentagon Report says that Saddam directly funded the terrorist group "Islamic Jihad." And from the 9/11 Commission Report it says that prior to the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania being blown up in 1998 that al-Zawahiri's group "Islamic Jihad" merged with Osama's terrorist groups.

911 Commission: 2.1 A DECLARATION OF WAR

"On February 23, 1998, Bin Ladin issued his public fatwa. The language had been in negotiation for some time, as part of the merger under way between Bin Ladin's organization and Zawahiri's Egyptian Islamic Jihad."

"Declarations taking credit for the attacks had already been faxed to the joint al Qaeda-Egyptian Islamic Jihad office in Baku,..."

"On the morning of August 7, the bomb-laden trucks drove into the embassies roughly five minutes apart-about 10:35 A.M. in Nairobi and 10:39 A.M. in Dar es Salaam.... The attack on the U.S. embassy in Nairobi destroyed the embassy and killed 12 Americans and 201 others, almost all Kenyans. About 5,000 people were injured. The attack on the U.S. embassy in Dar es Salaam killed 11 more people,..."

J, see post 166.

Also here is the transcript of the terrorists who got caught attempting a chemical attack in Jordan to kill 80,000 people and to hit US interests as they confess. They discuss how they set up camp in Iraq with Al Zarqawi after Afghanistan fell to the coalition forces.

One thing I would make sure of is that regardless of the wording the letter should be in MLA format to the extent possible.

It should make the point that contrary to "conventional wisdom," the evidence is overwhelming that there were not only terrorists in Iraq, but that there were al-Qaeda members in Iraq.

It should further note that "operational" support for 9/11 which did NOT occur, was far, far different from general aid, comfort, and financial support by Iraq for terrorist activities. Saddam did this. The record is clear and undeniable. There were AQ in Iraq in 2002, and there have been terrorists operating out of Iraq for a decade.

The main point

Few weeks age there was an public exchange between Obama and McCain. Obama responded “We have some news for Senator McCain Al Qaeda was not in Iraq before the war.” We Want to provide McCain with info where he could turn around and state “Senator Obama we have some news for you Zarqawi and al qaeda cells were in Iraq before the war and we have documentation to prove it.”

Also please see Jveritas post # 165

“It should make the point that contrary to “conventional wisdom,” the evidence is overwhelming that there were not only terrorists in Iraq, but that there were al-Qaeda members in Iraq.”

This is a daunting task, and could prove to be pivotal.

Not only must this show that Che Hussein Obarry was wrong, but it is also taking on the MSM, by producing EVIDENCE that has not been reported to the general public by the MSM.

By stating facts that are “contrary to conventional wisdom”,the issue of why conventional knowledge is inaccurate is also being called into question- it isnt just about Barry’s ignorance.

It is also about re-setting the paradigm through which people view Iraq.

If I were to write the letter, I’d do a cover letter that outlines the basics of what’s been found, then either include the material, or links to the material. I have heard that emails are not always read, and wonder if this should be sent via registered mail or even messenger. I hesitate to suggest the wording, because I always end up in “what’s the matter that you can’t research this even slightly” mode—calmer heads must prevail!

Read an article on the Weekly Standard, by Stephen Hayes, that’s not at all what the Pentagon report said, just what the MSM want you to believe.
