Why would they wait until tomorrow to post the story? What’s the purpose of leaking the story and then publishing it. Is it a publicity technique?

If they put it out over the weekend, especially palm sunday, they run the risk of it not getting exposure or having the media claim its old news by monday.

This way, it hits the airwaves when more people are paying attention, not to mention those political junkies ( like us ) will be telling people to look for it!

You never published a big story on a Friday or weekend if you want it to develop “legs.” Matter of fact, that’s how you bury a story.

Start on a Monday and you’ll have an entire week for the news cycle to develop it.
