Fox launches 'Obama Watch'
Chris Wallace told me last December that the Democratic candidates were "damn fools" for refusing to debate on Fox, and that Barack Obama unlike Hillary and, famously, Bill Clinton declined requests to appear on "Fox News Sunday."
This morning, Wallace launched the "Obama Watch."
Showing perfect News Corp. synergy, Obama was displayed in split screen a la "24," with the ticking time clock at 730 days, 13 hours, 53 minutes and 9 seconds. And counting.
That number dates to May 2006, when Wallace said Obama first agreed to a face-to-face interview on "Fox News Sunday."
Obama has shied away from Fox throughout the campaign, and didn't give his first lengthy interview until Jan. 9, after his defeat in New Hampshire. That signaled a bit of a thaw in what had been an icy relationship. More recently, Obama answered Major Garrett's questions about his association with controversial pastor Jeremiah Wright.
Wallace aside, Obama still has to own up to a pledge he made to Bill O'Reilly to appear on his show, too. And of course O'Reilly has brought that up a few times, and we'll see if he starts his own running count.

The election will be between Mrs. Clinton and McCain.
If Obama makes it to the convention (1968 redux), he will not be nominated, and there will be riots in the streets (1965 redux).
All sad predeictions.
predeictions?
More recently, Obamaanswereddanced around Major Garrett's questions about his association with controversial pastor Jeremiah Wright.
well, he talks the talk.
Can’t walk the walk. This guy is gonna dissappear and I really wish Obama, Hillary and McCain could debate now. The left is a fractured mess and I wouldn’t be surprised if the left split into two parties for the next round. The moonbats won’t ever be happy with the traditional Democrats and the traditional Dems have got to see the moonbats as a lunatic fringe. A violent convention in Denver and you could see that split happen soon.
Add to that the two prima donnas left would never agree to be either’s second fiddle.
Will Crosby Stills and Nash write a song?
We can c-h-a-n-g-e the world.
R-e-a-r-r-a-n-g-e the world.
It's d-y-i-n-g (to get better)
If you believe in justice..
If you believe in freedom
Blah blah blah....
Now I know I'm old. Those lyrics once meant something to me, and now I'm sitting here making fun of them.
“... The left is a fractured mess and I wouldnt be surprised if the left split into two parties for the next round...”
Unfortunately, the same thing could happen on our side.
Also, I wonder now about the wisdom of those Republicans who crossed over and voted for Hillary. Can you imagine if that hadn’t happened and she’d been too far behind to have any chance at the nomnination now?
Obama’s looking like easier pickings all the time.
Somebody inform Chrissy Wallace that after Preachergate this week, Obama is history.
Now, Wallace & FNC need to focus on opening the Clinton Closet and digging all the skeletons out.
‘Cause we all know that the Clintons have more “baggage” than Delta Airlines! LMAO
Maybe he could appear on The Simpsons? The Obama cult seems about right for that format.
Fox News ought to put an Obama cardboard cut out in a chair and ask it questions.
Maybe they could have Obama’s pastor and Louie Farrakhan on to discuss policy and what to expect from an Obama administration?
I think Matthews has a few of those - he doesn’t really like anyone talk besides himself. Except when he’s hitting on a female interviewee...
