There's a lot of crane action going on down at Ground Zero tonight.
The biggest, street-legal Liebherr I've ever seen -- it's longer than a Greyhound bus, and 3 of its counterweights require a semi to carry them -- is there. Currently it is being used to assemble a massive Manitowac track crane -- the kind where it takes a semi to bring in one track.
Things are finally starting to hit momentum down there.
Earlier, two flatbeds waited all day to unload one massive steel beam each. I learned that they are manufactured upstate.
I'd like to know what the Leibherr costs; I guess 10k per day of service off the top of my head.
