Yesterdays edition of USA Today had a story about Barack Obamas grandmother in Kenya, in which she slams the Clinton campaign for circulating photos of Obama in Muslim garband then states that she is a Christian: Obamas grandma slams untruths.
Obamas grandfather had converted to Islam from Roman Catholicism and taken the name Hussein, Sarah Obama said, but his children had inherited only the name, not the religion. Each person should be able to choose how they worshipped, she said.
In the world of today, children have different religions from their parents, she said. She, too, is a Christian.
Just one little problem with this statement.
In April of last year, Sarah Hussein Obama told the New York Times she is a devout Muslim.
Sarah Hussein Obama, who is his stepgrandmother but whom Mr. Obama calls his grandmother, still rises at 5 a.m. to pray before tending to her crops and the three orphans she has taken in.
I am a strong believer of the Islamic faith, Ms. Obama, 85, said in a recent interview in Kenya.
Even though she's been quoted as saying that she is?

....;*D
“the Obamas need to try to keep their stories straight.”
But that would mean that they’d speak the truth and that would be asking too much. Besides, lying to infidels is allowed.
It'll be harder if he's their choice. Look at the dims eating their own when it comes to one of them saying something bad about him. Imagine if a republican wanted to put forth an issue. May as well just give him the presidency. Now, with the beast, she is going to be destroyed, most of the dems can't stand her.
Hi Euro - good to see you around
Hope you’re doing well too
Ping.
I wouldn't be surprised to find Grandma making sacrifices to natural spirits found in trees and rocks either.
So, yes, Osama's Grandmother could very well be Czech ~ and they have their own version too.
Other popular girls names begin with an "R" as in Rupa and Rema ~ both meaning something like "gold money".
Chinese must have something like this too.
Just got done watching “The Kingdom”. That movie tells me everything I want to know about Islam. Outstanding production IMO.
BTTT!
Christians and Muslim do live in the same family. It is VERY common in some parts of Africa. For example, amongst the Yoruba of Nigeria (Hakeem Olajuwon’s people). In Rwanda, you have Christians (Catholic) and muslims in the same family.
How many Muslim women do you know who go by the name Sarah? I have come in contact with several African Muslim women, they have names like Jummai, Amina, Azeezat, Hauwa (Eve), Binta and Yasmin.
It depends on how the question was intepreted. She could easily have thought she was asked whether her family had members who believed in the Islamic faith. Until we see the transcipt in Luo, and have an unbiased person intepreting it for us, we are merely speculating.
Why don’t we concentrate on Jeremiah Wright?
No. I think it's absurd that hatred of McCain blinds people to the fact that as bad as McCain is, he's a far cry better than either Hillary or Obama.
As for Hillary, it's strategery. She'll be far easier to beat in the general than Obama.
And Hillary is driving the delivery truck.

Wrong, Hillary will beat McClain -easily.
Thanks.
It is easy with the talent of the Freepers and some other sites.
It is even easier when the target of the humor is a lying snake like Hussein ObamaSamma.
So, did I ever meet an Arab woman named Sarah ~ well, yes, several decades ago, and at least one right here in this neighborhood. We don't have many Arabs though; mostly Afghan people, and I can only think of a couple. Some of them also have names of Hindu demigods.
I've never been to sub-Saharan Africa (I'm assuming you have based on your anecdotal info), but it stands to reason that most Christians there haven't converted from Islam, but rather from tribal/animist beliefs, since most people there weren't Muslims to begin with.
But for those who might have been - usually in places where Islam isn't dominant, such as sub-Saharan Africa, it IS more acceptable (at least on the surface) for Muslims to convert to Christianity. It's when Islam threatens to control on a larger political scale that the oppression and persecution of Christians and other non-Muslims begins, as historically and contemporaneously indicated in many African countries that have either succumbed to Islam or are struggling currently.
Regardless, Islam continues to be the fastest growing religion in Africa.
