In his Friday night cable mea culpas on the incendiary comments made by his spiritual adviser Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., repeatedly said, "I wasn't in church during the time that these statement were made. I did not hear such incendiary language myself, personally. Either in conversations with him or when I was in the pew, he always preached the social gospel. ... If I had heard them repeated, I would have quit. ... If I thought that was the repeated tenor of the church, then I wouldn’t feel comfortable there."

Obama told CNN that he "didn't know about all these statements. I knew about one or two of these statements that had been made. One or two statements would not lead me to distance myself from either my church or my pastor. ... If I had thought that was the tenor or tone on an ongoing basis, then yes, I don't think it would have been reflective of my values."

But according to a New York Times story from a year ago, the Obama campaign dis-invited Wright from delivering a public invocation at Obama's candidacy announcement.

“Fifteen minutes before Shabbos I get a call from Barack,” Wright told the Times. “One of his members had talked him into uninviting me."

In a phone call with Wright, Obama cited a Rolling Stone story, “The Radical Roots of Barack Obama," (the name of which has curiously been changed on the RS website) and told him, according to Wright, “You can get kind of rough in the sermons, so what we’ve decided is that it’s best for you not to be out there in public.”

Okay...so now that he’s “heard it”, is he leaving the “church” immediately?

Or....is he gonna try to convince everyone that this is the FIRST time in history that his sociopath “preacher” spouted this crap?

Or....did he -sleep- through all the other sermons/private conversations?

It takes a LOT to really, utterly shock me but “God **** America!” sure did it.

OK, that would probably fall under ‘Lack of awareness’ but in any event, if red-flags were not going up about all of this belief system and he took it as ‘Par for the course’ rhetoric he's completely disqualified (As is Hillary for many of the same reasons).

“When Obama decided against wearing an American flag pin, we may all have been a bit too quick to accept his rationale, too quick to find that issue unimportant. Now, that American flag pin has gotten a lot bigger for a lot of us, especially in light of what may have been and may still be Obama’s deeper, and, perhaps, secret, less than patriotic beliefs about America.”

“Wright says that blacks can’t be expected to sing God Bless America because of racism. Obama doesn’t salute the flag during the National Anthem. That sure strikes me as an amazing coincidence since Obama swears he never heard Wright say anything against America.”

Not one article on this guy ever reached him? Why is it that I can ask these questions but not ONE reporter has the balls to ask him point blank and blunt these same questions. This fraud Obama can be brought down right now .Why isn’t Mc Cain asking him these questions? where is anyone from OUR SIDE on this ? I’m disgusted . Since most of the sheeple don't have a long attention span, what is the single best and most concise article and/or compilation of videos that captures the flavor of this story?

I am looking for something that can be used to educate those who might give this 5 minutes of their time before drinking the kool-aid. Most folks won't spend more than that, I am afraid.

Of all of my pastors sermons, I beleve that I would remember the ‘racist’ ones.

You are so right. I will never forget when my former pastor referred to Abednigo as “a big negro”. He was expecting to get a laugh and instead got dead silence.

A couple of things trouble me about this. One: many in the church were cheering him on. Two: Obama was elected to the senate & I’m sure this info was available during that election cyce.

Obama’s supporters want us to ignore this story… just push it under the rug. While they’ll align Republicans with any obscure pastor who does or says something controversial, they’re trying to convince us that Obama’s 20-year long close relationship with Wright, including his effective endorsement of him, his church and rhetoric with a $22,500 donation in 2006 is irrelevant.

Wright is such a hate-crazed specimen he couldn’t feign sanity for the few minutes that Hannity was interviewing him last year (replayed last night). The man is an absolute caricature of a whitey-hater.

This is not going away, the days are over when the MSM could bury anything they did not think us peasants needed to know.
