Yes, as I’ve been saying for the past several years, national politics has become like a race to the bottom, with both major parties seeing how badly they can screw up and offend the voters.

In this race to the bottom, I wouldn’t rule out John McCain and the RNC.

I’d say that the most probably reason for this abrupt shift is the YouTubes of Wright’s sermons. They are absolutely abominable, and even my liberal connections who spoke to me about them were appalled.

And there’s more, even worse stuff out there about Obama. I think he’s cooked.

If there’s more out there about Obama, Hillary will find it and show it. Obama is too slick.....or at least he thinks he is. He will loose White support pretty fast now.

Yes Wright's sermons are abominable! The Republicans could have easily tied him to Obama after he got the nomination and McCain could have carried 45-48 states leaving Obama the District of Columbia and at the most five other states.
This is the reason we should have done everything we could to defeat Clinton in Texas and elsewhere. Between Obama, Obama’s wife, and Wright we could have seen a resurgence of the Republican party and to some extent the conservative movement.
Obama may be damaged goods by the time of the Democratic convention and delegates will unify around Clinton who goes on to win in November.

You actually got your liberal connections to talk about the good Reverend Wright?!?

Every time I try to bring him up with my liberal cohorts, they quickly change the subject.

Kind of sad when you think of the past elections and how they focused on what the country needed to get itself together and how to handle future problems.
