The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton essentially even in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Its Obama 46% Clinton 45% (see recent daily results). This reflects an unusually sharp change from yesterdays results when Obama led by eight points and reached the 50% level of support for the first time. Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Last nights results were very favorable for Clinton and it remains to be seen whether this marks a lasting change in the race or is merely statistical noise. Single night results are based upon very small samples and are more volatile than the overall tracking poll.
Looking to November, John McCain now holds a slight lead over both Democrats in the General Election. Its McCain 47% Obama 42% and McCain 46% Clinton 42% (see recent daily results). It appears that Clintons challenges to Obama may be helping McCain at least in the short-term. McCains polling numbers against Obama began improving during the run-up to the hard-fought Democratic Primaries in Ohio and Texas. Obama has a three-percentage point edge over McCain among unaffiliated voters but is currently supported by just 65% of Democrats. By way of comparison, McCain earns the vote from 80% of Republicans.

I watched Chicago burn as Mayor Daley gave the “shoot-to-kill” order back in the late sixties, and order that seemed to be a perfectly acceptable thing to do. Johnson’s Great Society participants were shootingat firemen as they tried to save entire neighborhoods.
When he took a later helicopter view of the burnt out Westside, they say he cried “Look what they’ve done to my city.”
They’ll do it again and the newspapers will try to make white people feel guilty about the cause of the destruction.
The cause? They’re animals.
If Obama was a Republican, this wouldn’t have come out until the weekend before the General election. At least now he has 8 months to recover and atone.
{I have a black lady who works for me and she has always told me “Barack ain’t black, he just thinks he is”. She’s for Hillary.}
I’ll make a wild guess and say she must be over 50.
I’ve noticed that prior to the South Carolina primary, Obama had huge support with Blacks under 40. Hillary appealed to Blacks over 50, probably due to loyalty to the “First Black President”. After Bill Clinton aggresively attacking Obama, Hillary’s senior Black support evaporated. If Hillary maintained her senior Black support, she might have made VA and MS competitive.
Hey, that is pretty good. Being from Texas, can I use it?
2008 should be the Democrats to lose and in many ways they are currently doing their best to lose it.
The dems could split their party with Obsama trying to form a 3rd party for all the hopeNchangers.
You’re in my prayers tonight for a good test result and peace of mind.
I voted for Bush for just that reason...and he turned out to be an awful turkey.
Yes, you are right.
Obama’s numbers will drop like a rock.
Watch.
A gift to the Clintons
Same
HA!
That is terrific!
I was working out Saturday at the gym that has 5 news channels up and 2 sports channels up on a lot of TVs. 4 out of the 5 news channels were talking about Obama’s pastor nearly the entire time at the same time during my 40 minute workout. I think this one will have a lot more legs than the cocaine/gay story and I think Hillary will make sure of it.
“I voted for Bush for just that reason...and he turned out to be an awful turkey.”
Yeah, well, you work with what you’re given, you punch your card and you take your chances. I really don’t see any viable alternative to McCain at this point. As the current poll says, I’m not so much voting for McCain as voting AGAINST the Dem candidate.
yep.....62 and native of Birmingham....she actually remembers real not imagined racism and knows the difference
I don’t know though.....Miss is almost 40% black and I bet the Dem voters are I think 70% black.....
Obama is a more beatable foe than the comeback kid's wife.
Between the two, I'd rather the Democrats got stuck with someone they viscerally hate, rather than someone they glowingly praise.
They're both beatable, as recent evidence has shown. The GOP is unwilling to unmask "The Great Black Hope". McCain certainly won't do it. He'll build bridges toward the jug-eared Marxist twerp.
He's the typical garden variety left winged Marxist.
IMHO we may be dodging a bullet but if Obama goes down in a powerplay at the convention, there will be riots in cities across America. This is going to be ugly.
This is also going to cause riots across the country in multiple cities. Remember Paris recently. Just a different set of angry folk this time thinking whitey has put them under their thumb again. And, in an ironic way, there is more than a semblance of truth in that. For have they not been seduced in the past by the hope represented by the democratic party which betrayed them with the chains of dependency and despair. It is the white liberal which has betrayed black America by re-enslaving them while feigning help. This is not good at all. And if BHO gets the nomination its not going to be good either.
