Rasmussen – Obama support drops
Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll ^ | Saturday, March 15, 2008 | Rasmussen Poll

Posted on 03/15/2008 11:23:34 AM PDT by GVnana

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton essentially even in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. It’s Obama 46% Clinton 45% (see recent daily results). This reflects an unusually sharp change from yesterday’s results when Obama led by eight points and reached the 50% level of support for the first time. Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Last night’s results were very favorable for Clinton and it remains to be seen whether this marks a lasting change in the race or is merely statistical noise. Single night results are based upon very small samples and are more volatile than the overall tracking poll.

Looking to November, John McCain now holds a slight lead over both Democrats in the General Election. It’s McCain 47% Obama 42% and McCain 46% Clinton 42% (see recent daily results). It appears that Clinton’s challenges to Obama may be helping McCain at least in the short-term. McCain’s polling numbers against Obama began improving during the run-up to the hard-fought Democratic Primaries in Ohio and Texas. Obama has a three-percentage point edge over McCain among unaffiliated voters but is currently supported by just 65% of Democrats. By way of comparison, McCain earns the vote from 80% of Republicans.

Obama is a fraud.

It’s getting to the point where they can’t deny it.

Some of “them” can’t make a living if they deny the truth.

Lordy...I am so thankful for the ‘net, and for talk radio.

We’ll see if the morning shows are reliable.

My guess is that they won’t be...

yeah it should have waited after he brainwashed the whole country and then the republicans will be called racists because it would be clear that they were the ones who brought this up.

also we want obama to go after hillary for us so either way they both lose.

Best news I've heard in a long time.

If the Dems lose the White House in '08, they will be so demoralized it will take years to recover and they will hate Bill and Hillary Clinton. They will not go to their graves revered by the Democratic Party.

THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN WHO IS INVOLVED IN THE LIVES OF MEN.

Hillary WILL BE the nominee. Our big chance is to make her have to steal it from Obama. That would cause a riff in the Dem party that would impact the presidential race as well as congressional races as blacks sit out the general election.

YES! YES! YES! Hear this, Conservatives of America.

Credit the good Reverend Jeremiah

I have to wonder if Hillary's fingerprints aren't on this somehow - maybe someone in her campaign alerted talk radio about Reverend Wright?

It’s conceivable that making blacks angry this election was part of the Marxists’ plan to further balkanize American.

Talk radio knew about Rev Wright and spoke about him before, they just didn’t have the tapes before. It seems the good reverent is so proud of them, as are the parishioners, that they reproduce and seel them at the church!

Hillary cannot catch Che Obama, the way the Dems have designed their primary system is to split the delegates, Hilde needs to win 80% or so of the reminaing delegates to catch Obama, and in Democratic Primaries with heavy Black votes, a 80%-20% blowout in 12 straight states is not going to happen.

This is going to the Convention, meanwhile the Democrats will spend tens of millions in campaign cash trying to win the popular vote to sway the Super Delegates...

Exactly, this is shaping up very much like 1968, a split Democratic Party eats itself and it’s cash based on their racial politics.

As to November, if Obama is the nominee Wright will be hung about his neck, if Hillary is the noinee she will have alienated the Black Vote, a 5% drop in that vote will sink her candidacy like the Titanic...

“This business with the nutty reverend will have much less impact on Obama than the 1992 bimbo eruptions had on Bill Clinton (who still won in 1992).”

I must agree with you. Hardcore BHO supporters are excusing the ‘pastors’ hate speech and BHOs decades long relationship with the usual; it’s the Black experience, he’s (pastor) suffered racism, every other liberal excuse under the sun. This may only affect the Independent supporters and, of course, it inflames HRC backers.

I think the only voters who can see BHO for who and what he really is never intended to vote for him in the first place. McCain may be far from the perfect Conservative nominee, but he must, must win!

All pledged delegates for the Democrats are awarded proportionally. No of their primaries or caucuses are winner take all.

Technically true. However Puerto Rico's local Dem leadership customarily pledges their 63 delegates all-or-nothing, presumably to boost their national influence.

Between the flap over Florida and Michigan and now the potential of more of the same in Purto Rico, I have to shake my head in amazement at the way the "rules" are set up by the dems. Could you imagine a baseball game being played this way?

Hillary and Obama are the two managers and they meet with the umpires at home plate before the game.

Umpire: the right field wall has a line painted on it. Anything hit above the line is a home run. On or below the line and the ball is in play.

Hillary: Well that doesn't seem fair. It should depend on which team is at bat.

Obama: Agreed. First, let's see who hits the ball. Then we can all come on the field and argue, metaphysically, about fairness.

Umpire: Okay. Now if the gate to the bullpen accidentally opens and a ball bounces through it--

Hillary: Who hit it?

Obama: Don't even go there.

It is much better this is happening now. If this came out after the Demonrats convention, it would be called "Republican Dirty Tricks".

Right now Hillary! and B. Hussein Obama will continue to clobber each other, ensure whichever candidate wins will be wounded and have less money.

Similarly, this helps pre-convention Republican fundraising.

The best possible result is a situation where the Democrats significantly damage their party. The next best situation is one where either candidate is so divisive as to be unwinnable.

I bet if Hillary gets the nomination, huge numbers of blacks and young swooners will be disaffected. Look for poor voter turnout in the general election for the democrats.
