They should actively memorize 5*5 and all their other basic addition, subtraction and multiplication facts. Now, I wouldn't consider the sine to be a basic math fact.

Now, I wouldn't consider the sine to be a basic math fact. The sine of Pi/2 is. (It's "1" BTW)
