That’s silly. We can thank WND for making Y2K successful.
LOL! Well, no. The Y2K problem was known and being addressed long before WND began "reporting" on it. For example, the Johnson Space Center had begun seriously addressing the issue back in about 1993 or so.
WND rode the Y2K wave in their niche-market way, in the same way that all of the "gurus" made big bucks doing Y2K consulting: they saw an exploitable fear, and made the best of it.
I will thank Joe Farah for one thing, though: he helped to make me the cynic that I am today, as concerns sensationalistic reporting. And you know what? Cynicism in the face of ALL reporting is a positive virtue.
