A call-girl has been ordered to testify about her tryst with Eliot Spitzer, the disgraced New York Governor, as prosecutors investigate whether he used campaign funds for his meetings with prostitutes.
Ashley Alexandra Dupre , also known as Ashley Youmans, has received a subpoena to appear behind closed doors before an investigating grand jury hearing the case against the Emperors Club VIP prostitution ring, her lawyer said in court this week.
The struggling singer was caught by an FBI phone-tap talking to an accused madam about her $4,300 encounter with a man identified as Client 9, now named as Mr Spitzer.
Ms Dupre reportedly had several “dates” with the man she knew as “George Fox” but realised only during their last meeting that he was the New York governor. The New York Post said that the shocked prostitute told her bosses: “Oh, my God! Do you know who this guy is?”

The word entrapment comes to mind....here is the way I see it...a prestigious call girl ring, operated by a foreign source...that accommodates Washington clients...the operation is discovered after 9/11 by monitoring overseas phone calls and currency transactions....I suspect that a list of names is sitting on someone’s desk, as I write....

We could be talking about heads of foreign states, other high level US politicians and power brokers. How much influence will D.C. have over the feds on whose names are made public. Would the fact that Bubba is an ex-president mean his name automatically gets the lockbox treatment?

What if Spitzer knew some of the other high profile clients that used their services? Could he blackmail or threaten to expose them in exchange for an easier sentence?
He seems to be arrogant enought to take revenge.
